An Interview with Barbara Harrison and Her Path to Studying Sickle Cell Disease
On today's episode of Inputs to Action, we sit down with Barbara Harrison. Barbara is a certified Genetic Counselor and Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health. She is also Assistant Director of Community Outreach and Education at the Center for Sickle Cell Disease at Howard University College of Medicine.

Understanding and appreciating how we are all so different and so much the same at the same time can be challenging. Add in work and hierarchy and it can really be tough to sort through sometimes, but for the sake of our culture, we must sort through it and get good at it. The best way to do that is talk about it.
