A Fresh Start

We’re officially two weeks into 2021 – ooh, feels so good to say that! Though we’ve experienced some turbulence already, I still love the beginning of a new year. It brings hope and new beginnings.

The new year offers the prime opportunity to create a fresh start with your work life. If you were with me at the end of last year, you may have already begun thinking about your intention for this year,  but let’s make a fresh statement reaffirming what you have already designated, or stating for the first time what it will be.

Ask yourself the big questions:

What would you like this year to yield for your career?

What do you plan to do? Accomplish? How will you grow?

 What will you give?

Consider the answers to these questions as you state your intention for 2021.

How will you measure success? This is an important part that’s often missed. Without a clear idea of what you want to accomplish, how will you know if and when you’ve arrived? Get really clear on what the measured outcome should be and work backwards from there setting your path.

With your measure in hand, now identify the activities that will get you to success. Activity is important as you will make little to no progress without it. Identify the necessary steps and set measures for those as well. All of this activity should align to your intention and add up to creating the outcome you want.

Fresh start – fresh method.

Let’s do this!

PS: Our theme song is a go-to for me – “I Am Changing” by Jennifer Holiday from the Broadway hit, Dreamgirls.
